Crusaders For Christ Evangelistic Church
The Bible is a corridor between the two testaments, down which walks the Christ of God. His invisible steps echo through the Old Testament and we come face to face with Him in the throne room of the New; and it is through this Christ alone, crucified for me, that I have found forgiveness for sins and life eternal. The Old Testament is summed up in the word Christ; the New Testament is summed up in the word Jesus; and the summary of the whole Bible is that Jesus is the Christ.
Elijah was distraught because Jezebel was looking for him to kill him. So he ran. God asked him why are you here? He told God that Jezebel wanted to kill him and that he was the only one left that did not bow the knee to Baal. He was having a pity party of sorts.
So the question is, why are you here feeling sorry for yourself? Why are you despairing or so discouraged that you can't function? If the power of Christ dwells in you, you are more than a conqueror! You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. In the face of threatened death from his own men, David encouraged himself and sought guidance from the Lord.
Let your praise change your situation, not your situation change your praise.
Real men know and accept the responsibility of fatherhood. Fatherhood is more than the ability to reproduce or plant a seed. It involves nurturing, teaching, supporting, setting the tone and being an example, being accessible 24/7; all the while being loving and caring with proper discipline. Real mean handle their business without any excuse.
God said that Abraham would train his children and future family to observe God’s way of life, live kindly, generously and fairly. It is the mandate of God that fathers father their children and to rear them up in the right way.
Jesus bought His disciples to Caesarea Philippi and asked them, Who do men say that I am? The disciples named several prophets and others. Then Jesus zeroed in what really matters; who do you say that I am? Peter replied, Thou art the Christ the Son of the living God!
Down through the years, many people have voiced their opinions about who Jesus is. Most were negative, a few were positive. But, it really doesn't matter what others think, it doesn't matter what others believe, what matters is what you think and believe who Jesus is. That belief will lead to specific actions on your part, which will ultimately end in where you will spend eternity.
Here is a life or death question, who do you say the Son of Man is?
Are you hearing or listening?
Jesus said the man who hears my words and do not follow through to do them is like a foolish man, building his house on sand, but a man who hears and follow through to do what I said is a wise man who builds his house on a rock. James tells us not to be hearers only but to be doers of the word. Which man are you?
When the weatherman says there is a chance of rain, without question, arguing or debating, we take our umbrellas just in case. When there is a hint of an impending storm, we clean out the supermarkets of basic necessities, yet when God, who is omniscient, says something, we question, debate and argue with what He says. Is not God greater than man in every sense? Then why do we put so much faith in man, but dismiss God's eternal word? Heaven and earth will pass away but God's word will never pass away. What He has spoken will come to pass.
God commanded children to obey fathers and mothers. Proverbs strongly exhorts that children listen to and adhere to the instructions from your mother. Unfortunately, in our society today, it advocates that children do not have to come under the rule and supervision of their parents. God never changed His mind on this subject, parents are given to us to help us make right choices in life that will make us productive citizens of heaven and earth.
Let's honor our mothers and give a hearty thanks for their love and sacrifice for us. After all, if she was selfish, you wouldn't be here today.
Type your paragraph hereJerusalem bore the scars of history and numerous pagan influences. As each occupying empire was displaced , it left indelible marks of idolatrous and pagan worship, beginning with King Jeroboam in Israel through the Roman occupation. It was to this backdrop saturated with paganism and idolatry that Jesus deliberately brought his disciples, Caesarea Philippi.
Upon their arrival, Jesus asked them, "Who do men say that I am?" Some said He was Elias, John the Baptist or a prophet. Then Jesus said, "Who do you say I am?" Peter said, "You are the Christ the Son of God."
Against the backdrop of tolerance of sin, marginalizing God and the Bible and every sinful imagination known to man, who do you say Jesus is? Is He who He is or is is He like others? That is your choice!
But know this, every knee shall bow and evert tongue shall confess that He is Lord. You can do it now by choice or in the judgment by force.
The entrance of God's word brings light. The word goes in and the light comes on and the light illuminates our path so we can walk in the light of God's word. When we walk in the light, we have fellowship with God and are continually cleansed by that word.
Now Jesus says, to let your light shine before all men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Question - is your light on?
Under the law of Moses, when you became unclean you had to be put out the camp until such time as you were able to offer the sacrifice needed to purify your uncleanness.
To make us worthy and fit for the kingdom of heaven, Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice for sin, nailing our sins to his cross.
The law of uncleanness made one unfit for society; the law of sin makes one unfit for heaven.
If you want to be fit for God's kingdom, receive his gift of eternal life; if you choose not to be part of his kingdom, stay the way you are. The invitation says - whosoever will let him come!
